Catherine Ponder has served as a minister in Unity churches since 1956.  Ordained by Lowell Fillmore, son of Unity's founder, Ponder founded three Unity Churches and served as minister for four.
Her inspirational books, which have been published by Prentice-Hall, Parker, Unity and DeVorss & Co., are widely read in this country and abroad.  Her books have brought thousands of new people into New Thought churches during the past decades--as well as bringing to those churches hundreds of thousands of dollars in new financial support.  Several churches have come into sizeable legacies and/or financial gifts as a result of her writings.
 
Described as the "Norman Vincent Peale among lady ministers," Ponder has lectured widely in Unity and Religious Science churches.  She has lectured for business, professional and convention groups, and has appeared on numerous television talk shows.
She shared her philosophy for successful living with writers Napoleon Hill, Dr. Maxwell Maltz and Clement Stone in the book, "The Parker Prosperity Program."  She is a member of the International Platform Association and holds an honorary lifetime membership in the Spiritual Frontiers Fellowship.  She is listed in Who's Who in Religion and Who's Who in the World.
Awarded a Doctor of Divinity degree by the Association of Unity Churches in 1976, Ponder has been awarded the prestigious "Light of God Expressing" Award and the Dr. Joseph Murphy Humanitarian Award. 
A resident of Pal Desert, Ponder is listed in the Palm Springs-Palm Desert Social Register among "the distinguished citizens of the desert."
